Afro Gala, established in 2016, is an annual event in British Columbia dedicated to showcasing Black and African cultural heritage and promoting intercultural and racial relationships.Â
Our focus is using cultural promotions and engagements to build empower and build friendships that contribute to a healthy and harmonious society.
Our Mission
To build bridges across racial and cultural divisions to develop friendships and community cohesion that will foster peaceful coexistence in an interconnected global community.
Our Objectives
To provide an avenue for showcasing and promoting Black/African cultural heritage.
To unite Blacks and Africans of various nationalities towards building Black identity.
To promote intercultural and racial relationships.
To promote a welcoming, tolerant, diverse, open- minded and supportive community.
To create a socially active, fun filled environment and develop attitudes to empower the people particularly the Youths.
