Afro Gala, established in 2016, is an annual event in British Columbia dedicated to showcasing Black and African cultural heritage and promoting intercultural and racial relationships. Â Our focus is using cultural promotions and engagements to build empower and build friendships that contribute to a healthy and harmonious society.
Our Mission
To build bridges across racial and cultural divisions to develop friendships and community cohesion that will engender/foster peaceful coexistence in an interconnected global community.
Our Objectives at Afro Gala
To provide an avenue for showcasing and promoting Black/African cultural heritage.
To unite Blacks/Africans of various nationalities towards building Black identity.
To promote intercultural and racial relationships.
To promote a welcoming, tolerant, diverse, open- minded and supportive community.
To create a socially active, fun filled environment and develop attitudes to empower the people particularly the Youths.
